September has some of the warmest sea temperatures and the coastal paths will be starting to burst into autumnal colours as well as the countryside such as Exmoor and Dartmoor.
Explore the UK’s longest, traffic-free cycle path, The Tarka Trail, between Braunton and Meeth, At Smytham we have direct access to the Tarka Trail with cycle hire available on park too. Cycle or walk through the tree tunnels with their leaves turning all shades of yellow, orange and red for some fabulous nature photographs.
We have a wide range of beaches in North Devon, from famous surfing beaches such as Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton to more of a relaxed vibe at award winning Westward Ho! and Instow. Walk along the empty beaches with your dogs, surf + body board or explore the beautiful coastline.
